Bike Away the Pounds?

Tom and I handed our bike’s over to one of the local shops for tuning and, in his case, cable replacement.  We are readying them for the MS 150 ride in September.  My bike needed the attention and so, unfortunately, do I.  I have confidence that my ride will make it 150 miles, but I’m not so sure about me.  I’m not exactly in the best shape of my life and, as I keep saying without actually doing anything about it, I’ve grown kind of fat.

Training for the 150 will start bright and early tomorrow morning.  I’m hoping that preparation for the event plus a little more care for what I use to fill my pie-hole (hint: less pie) will take care of my little pudge problem.

  1. What worries me about long bike rides isn’t the distance - it’s the chafing.  Don’t laugh, I’m being serious!

And, surely training and watching what you eat will take care of your “pudge.” You’ll be feeling good about yourself in no time (:

    Good luck!
