I arrived home at 3:00 ish this morning. Our team’s participation in Relay for Life was cut a bit short by lack of team-member participation. With seven hours to go, there were only two of us left. After a very long week, neither of us thought that walking for 3.5 hours apiece, even in split shifts, was going to happen. When I arrived home, I was in no shape to sleep (if I’m up in the middle of the night, I’m UP), so I finished both of the books that I had been reading and then caught a few hours of sleep on the couch. I then ran errands, attended tae kwon do (harder when you’re tired, I tell ya), tore down the tents left at the Relay site and then made two trips to Wal-mart. Wal-mart is a little busier than I care for on a Saturday afternoon, by the way. Why must everyone walk so slowly?
We have put everything away and are kicking back with wine (me) and beer (Tom), watching Muppets from Outer Space. Pinot Noir compliments a series of bad puns beautifully, if you must know.
