More from 101

I have been chipping away rather slowly at my 101 in 1001 list.

27. I have cleaned out both my closet and dressers of all of the clothes that don’t fit.  It was not a pleasant task, since I hated to admit how many things had grown too small, but it certainly freed up a lot of room.  I made one delivery a couple of weeks ago and I have a second garbage-bag-full ready to go.

30. We researched composters and Tom built a spinner.  Our spring yard clean-up yielded enough brown matter to get started and we were able to add plenty of fresh from the kitchen.  While we wait for the first batch to finish doing its thing, we are keeping kitchen waste in sealed containers in the freezer.  I grew up with my grandparents keeping their kitchen waste in a container on their porch and the smell was just too gross.

69. On May 14th, we will be playing our first game in a sand volleyball league.  We won’t be very good, but I’m sure it will be a lot of fun.

88.  I made spicy tuna rolls from scratch on Friday.  The sushi rice was not perfect, but I am pretty satisfied with the end result.  The tuna mixture was great and the rolls were much easier to make than I had anticipated.
