It Didn't Seem That Strange at the Time

I have done a great many strange things in my life.  The thing that surprises people, including some of the people that I spent a lot of time doing strange things with, is that my best boy friend (note the space) and I once locked ourselves in the trunk of his mother’s car, assuming (and we were right!) that we would be able to break through the back seat into the passenger portion of the car.  If she had driven a ‘69 Impala with a bench seat, we wouldn’t have bothered, but we knew that the back seats offered passage to the trunk.  Sure, the latches only worked from the interior of the car, but we figured we could best them.  It is worth saying again that we were right.
