Kind of Amazing

Last night, I hemmed two pair of jeans.  I have owned the jeans for less than a week.  That is some kind of record.  When it comes to things that I intend to sew, especially those things that are actually alteration jobs, I am a slacker.  I have been known to buy pants that need to be hemmed and keep them in the “to do” pile until they no longer fit or are no longer fashionable.  One pair of pants that I did hem in a timely fashion, a very nice pair of pants, had satin lining that I just couldn’t be bothered with.  I cut the lining off mid-calf and called them good.  I wore them for a couple of years like that.  What with the fraying, it was like I was wearing a pirate costume under my work clothes when I had them on.
